On Sunday, October 28, a meeting was held amongst the departments' commanders accompanied by two Government Officials in order to discuss ways to enhance and improve the relations between the various departments and the civilians of Los Santos. As a result of that, the Public Relations division has recommenced.
One of the main topics discussed in the meeting was Traffic Stops. The Officials have re-authorized the Police Department to arrange and organize Traffic Stops as well as Routine Checks throughout the city. However, the civilians of Los Santos must be informed beforehand via the public broadcast channels within the Radio Frequencies
Greetings, Los Santos!
As stated in the above report, the Police Department will now organize several Traffic Stops on various times throughout different parts of the city. Our main goal is to apprehend reckless, careless drivers that endanger themselves as well as the lives of other people on the road. Furthermore, we will also be performing a full check on that specific person whenever he or she decides to pass through one of our Traffic Stops.
Starting today, the Police Department has hosted a Traffic Stop around Market due to the constant complaints received from that area, as well as the high number of injuries caused by other careless drivers that ride through that zone.

Civilians were asked to slow down upon reaching the stop and present their License, ID, as well as agreeing to a full check(search) on themselves and the vehicle they are driving

After completing the search, the handling officer will decide whether the person can or can not pass. If the person was given the green card to pass, then he may go on his way free. However, if he was told to return, then he must do so unless he/she wishes to be arrested

Of course, not everyone has complied to the officers. We were able to apprehend a couple of suspects that were driving without a valid License, others with possession of illegal, controlled Narcotics, and the final category was people with possession of unlicensed firearms.
In the end, I advise everyone to drive safely and avoid carrying illegal substances as well as weapons in public as this will definitely lead to them being arrested. We, at the Police Department, wish to reduce the crime rates that are happening in the city and us alone are not enough to do so, which is why we also seek the help of the civilians to report any suspicious activity they notice by dialing our 24/7 hotline, 911.
